Having finally gotten to the other side of my old/bad software induced hardware crash, I can now better address this:

O.K... so far my crew looks as follows .. band members will likely have their own vehicles/tents etc but will connect always with the main RV.. I have been checking out State Parks and camp facilities for them.. I could play at the campground at night with the band . I would play softly..but we would have enough power to play with my little PA.. we could work that out with the Parks..

I don't suppose there will be that many state parks on the Bike Road between here and Chicago. However there will definitely be parks to consider on the road thru the Rockies. For this you will certainly want to contact Jim Muellner and/or Greg Miller on the cc. They know this area very well. Also, the Boise to Salt Lake spur has parks in the Yellowstone and Jackson Hole areas if we wanted to send our riders on a longer, yet far more scenic route. Remember the struggles Jim Redd had last year when he tried to do a more direct connect of these two cities? Heck if you could arrange music in the parks in SE corner of Montana, it would likely make this the most desirable and beautiful leg on the Mayors' Ride tour!! Maybe even the Boise Mayor's scheduler, Lynn Shrum, a lifelong Boise resident, might know what parks in her area could be used for this??

Maybe our riders, past and present on the cc, can suggest parks and campgrounds between Chicago and SF for this. As for the Pacific Coast, maybe Skot Paschal can tell you what Eugene to SF looks like. Maybe Arcata Mayor, Bob Ornelas, who is riding a leg this year can suggest parks in his redwood country! Coming from LA to here, Jim 'Parky' Wetherell has that wired!

So Lynn, Jim, Skot, Parky, Bob and Greg, feel free to shoot Claire an E with any parks U might suggest.

And Claire, once U better determine what parks are out there, and which U can play, we can make them mini destinations/attractions on the schedule itself!! And this could serve to bring cyclists to the tour just for that!!

I am planning to bring a mixing board, about 4 microphones, 2 PA speakers, and a small power amp, effects processors, and a CD recorder/burner.. I will be able to record most of your events and my performances with this setup..I would also be able to play the NBG Fest CD in the background at events..

Do let meknow when U have those awesome lyrics complete. I want to build them into a web that will introduce your site. Also have Elena Veresh working on a better logo for C.A.M. Engine. Her work is tops!!

this will eliminate the need for smaller cities to worry about sound.. I'm sure the larger ones will use the things they have available..Connie will try to roll as much tape as possible when shes not driving for the documentary..

WoW WOW!! Too excellent. Lorna Davros over in Des Moines, will be happy to hear she has one less thing to worry about this year. And does Connie have an email address?? Want to get her on our mailings!!

Just so you know, the Strawberry Music Fest is on Memorial Day weekend.. I will sacrifice going.. but since there are already musicians there and it is a camping and kidfriendly event.. some of them may want to come to LA to help start your event..and provide a larger following for the tour.. they ride bikes too and usually bring them to Strawberry..

Sonora to Arcata, as Skot Paschal showed us in just trying to get to Chico from Arcata is an almost impossible bike connection to make......

Ever wanted anything so bad U were willing to die for it?
Really die? By moving thru clinical death and reversing
paralysis, *I was God* when I answered that question.

Jeff Reser Takes NBG to Chicago to New Level!!

Besides the fact that:

- Claire Machado will do the LA to Chicago relay leg on a bus filled with musicians
- Libby Aubrey is collecting material for a 30 second, $20K commercial that all of us can then submit to our local TV Stations
- Arcata Mayor, Bob Ornelas is going to ride one (or more) of the legs in our relay
- Scott Campbell rebuilt the NBG Store (logo that is) and is trying to get time off to ride the SF Bay Area to Chicago leg
- Parkinson's Survivor, Jim Wetherell, 2000 TransAm Superstar, Max Chen, Pocket Mail poet, Skot Paschal, Jim Muellner's Rocky Mtn guide, Greg Miller, Cyclogical Bike's, Jeff Longtin, and Mr. Bicycle Columbus, Jeff Stephens are all probably coming back for more miles this year
- While many others have expressed interest and Libby Aubrey even is filling relay legs in southern CA with bike club representation

And etc etc all of which I will go into more detail as it all unfolds but straight away you have absolutely got to see the beautiful logo that Jeff Reser just created for us. It's at our schedule:

He even made it reflect the numbers of cities we will soon be passing thru!!

Too much excitement -- not enough time!!

Yahooo!!!!!
