We just got the 2005 Miami NBG Day Proclamation scanned and on line:
About 30 people came to City Hall Plaza today (Tuesday, 5/3) to hear the reading of Mayor Menino's proclamation celebrating bicycling & honoring the National Bicycle Greenway Mayors' Ride. Organized by the Boston Bike Festival, the event brought together a wonderful group of young people from the Bikes Not Bombs training programs, a film crew from Tech Boston Academy high school, Dave Toppin with his amazing HiWheeler (circa 1880's), Mike Lydon from the MassBike office, Jeff Rosenblum from the Boston Bike Planning Initiative, Jim Campen from the Cambridgeport Bike Club, Andrew Prescott from UrbanAdventours, two people on electric bikes, and lots of assorted walk-ons who came on wheel and foot. Several people had heard about the rally from the "Yikes! Bikes!" blurb that Mac Daniels put in his Sunday Globe "Starts & Stops" column. After Best of all - it didn't rain!
